Privacy Policy

This policy describes what information Find Your Destiny collects, how we use it, who sees it, and the choices you have. It applies to everyone using the service, whether anonymously or with an account.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

Account information. If you create an account, your email address and a record that you verified it.
Profile and answers. Responses you enter in the Understand the New World, Find Your Why, and Chart Your Path flows; resume content you upload; chat messages you send inside the product.
Consent records. The Terms of Use and Privacy Policy version you accepted, and when.

Information collected automatically

Session and identity cookies. An HTTP-only fyd_session cookie once you sign in, and an anonymous fyw_user_id cookie that lets your progress persist across visits without an account.
Security signals. A hashed form of your IP address for rate limiting and abuse detection, your browser user-agent, and basic timestamps.
Product usage. Which pages and features you use, aggregated for improving the product.

Information from third parties

If someone (for example, a partner at a school or an introducer) sends you a personalized invitation link, that person may have provided limited contact information to introduce you to the service. What was provided is available in your account on request.

2. How we use your information

To personalize your Find Your Destiny experience. Your answers shape the reads, questions, and paths you see.
To generate AI-assisted outputs. Your responses are used as context for the personalized reads, Why documents, path recommendations, and chat responses the service generates on your behalf.
To operate, secure, and improve the service. Including diagnosing bugs, preventing abuse, and iterating on features.
To communicate with you. Verification codes, service updates, and responses to your requests.
To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

3. Who sees your information

Your personal responses are not routinely reviewed by sales representatives.

Authorized personnel may access your information when necessary for:

Providing you with customer support
Investigating security incidents and abuse
Meeting legal or regulatory obligations
Operating, debugging, and maintaining the service

We do not sell your personal information. When we work with service providers (see next section), they process your information on our behalf under contractual obligations to keep it confidential and use it only to provide the service to us.

4. Service providers

Find Your Destiny relies on the following categories of third-party providers. Each processes your information only to support the service.

Cloud hosting and networking. To serve the web app and API.
Database. To store your account, answers, and progress.
Transactional email. To deliver verification codes and service messages.
AI providers. To generate personalized reads, Why documents, path recommendations, and chat responses. Your relevant inputs are sent to the AI provider to produce the output.

5. Security

We use industry-standard practices including HTTPS in transit, encrypted storage at the database layer, hashed verification codes and session tokens (raw values are never persisted), and access controls on internal systems. No online service is perfectly secure. If we ever discover a security incident that affects your information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.

6. Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active, and for a period after that consistent with our retention period and any legal, accounting, or security obligations that require longer retention. Aggregated or de-identified data used for product analytics may be retained longer.

7. Your choices

Continue anonymously. You can use the core product without creating an account.
Update your answers. Edit your intake and questionnaire responses at any time.
Delete your account. Contact us at privacy contact email to request account deletion. We will delete your account and personal information unless retention is required for a legal, security, or accounting reason, in which case we will inform you what remains and why.
Cookie preferences. The two cookies described above are essential to the product; the session cookie can be cleared at your device level (which signs you out), and the anonymous progress cookie can be cleared the same way (which starts a fresh anonymous session).

8. Cookies and session technology

fyd_session: set when you sign in. HTTP-only, SameSite=Lax, Secure in production. Server-side session TTL is 30 days.
fyw_user_id: set on first visit so your progress persists across sessions without an account.
We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

9. Children

Find Your Destiny is not directed to children under minimum age. If you believe a child under that age has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International use

Depending on where you are located, information may be processed in other countries. cross-border transfer language

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we'll bump the version and effective date at the top of this page, and we'll communicate material changes in-app or by email.
